Kassope or Cassope

Kassope is a very large settlement high up over the sea. I really enjoyed this site. Here there was a giant theater, a smaller theater, a tomb, and several houses. There were a lot of large and intact remains. Also, we were apparently very fortunate as it rains more here than in Seattle, and it was a beautiful day with a beautiful sky.

The Zalonga monument. We couldn't get up close, but it commemorates women who wanted to avoid capture and enslavement during a war, so they threw their children and then themselves off the cliff to commit suicide.
