Isova Monastery in Trypiti

During our trip in the Peloponnese, we made a stop just West of the village of Trypiti (which means hole). Our leader first took us to see a mud-brick house that was in ruin, but the point I think was to see how well the mud-brick holds up. He also pointed out several features of the structure. This is not ancient.

I think the holes are from bees.

Behind the house is this old catholic monastery. It is apparently one of the most significant gothic monuments and was built during the Frankish rule.

I think this is a picture of wild asparagus that was growing there.
