The Palace of Galerius (Thessaloniki)

The Galerian Palace, was built during the transition between the Roman and Byzantine. Its erection began in the late 3rd century-early 4th century AD. Emperors stayed in Thessaloniki due to its significance and geographic location, situated between Rome and the New Rome-Constantinople.

The Rotunda and Arch from my earlier posts would have been part of the whole Galerian complex. The part of the Palace that has been excavated sits right in the middle of town.

Bob sitting outside the palace. Jk... I don't know that random man.
